I was certainly honored to perform at the one-year anniversary party of online sound art streaming platform Powwow. It turned out to be quite a pleasant get together with prominent musical friends from the Dutch modular scene.
My daughter Sami and I perform on the first of March at Modulab Eindhoven Fake Noise edition. We’ll explore the consequences of fake news and translate it into a soundscape and piece of performance art.
Multi-cam Noodling on a drowsy afternoon 😏
I’ve been trying to find a solution for a multi-cam setup to stream live. The ideal would be one or two cams focussing on the Modular and one oversight shot. For now, I can only do this by recording a modular live session, edit the footage with the audio stream in Premiere Pro as a multi-cam session. Then streaming the exported result. Not convenient at all. HDMI switch boxes are way too expensive for me.
Anyway, here’s the first result 😎
So I did my first live performance at STRP Biennial 2017 as part of an excellent group of artists from Modulab Eindhoven. It was exceptional to perform at the impressive industrial Klokgebouw where the exhibition takes place. A delightful day with a great sense of community and shared passion for weird noises, noodles, and knob wiggling.
This day taught me many things, especially on authenticity, camaraderie, and dignity.
Take your pick…
