Loop Berlin 2017 is over and was so much more than I expected. It was very interesting to notice the embracement of the maker community by Ableton. By acquiring Cycling ’74 they have made their commitment to artists even more prominent.
I wasn’t expecting any sound art at Loop. This conference is much more for the serious Ableton user. So I was surprised to encounter a very impressive sound art installation – 3Destruct by Antivj on the attic of the Funkhaus. Here’s a little video I shot from the work.
Very well executed 😊
This work is an immersive installation, a large semi-transparent cube that generates light an sound, and as the visitor walks through, he loses his landmarks in this non-linear universe that destroys any spacial coherence.
First shown at the Scopitone festival, October 2011, Nantes, France.
